The wedding: part 2

❤️As we exchange our marriage vows

I know

I ponder

I embrace

I claim

I make it my own and not be mimicking this truth like a:

What greater responsibility

What great stewardship

What greater honor

What greater shepherd-ship

That God can give any Adam

That His eve and his family

To put his body in the line for them:

Where sin like Thanos ready to destroy all things God can,has created and brought together with a snap of a finger again:

Or sin like Vader on his Death Star:

Yet my Wanda can and has stepped in

Proving she is just as complete and strong:

Time after time

Yet it is also ironically Bitter because the presence of sin in all such relationships and in ours

Yet sweet even though sin is present

God’s mercy, grace is infinitely greater-blessing,nurturing,sustaining,defending,purifying,sanctifying and healing what sin seeks to kill and destroy or at least pervert, maim disables or cripple-again I use this video analogy:

And makes it a further tragedy is that most of mankind is unaware of sins true malicious intentions it’s true conspiracies of conspiracies its hidden master agenda….

To destroy marriage

God’s symbolizing a finite copy of the divine trinity but of the heavenly church by:

For just pleasure

For just producing children

Sex as a chore

Sex as a necessary evil

Sex to keep the man

Sex to serve the man

Either extremes

For just companionships

As a mindless plaything to do our bidding

Like xanth where you Sow wild oats nymphs

“Son, believe me, I understand; I sowed wild oats myself when I was your age. Got me a nymph, too, with flowing green hair and a body like the great outdoors. But I had forgotten about the special watering, and so she got away. I never saw anything so lovely in my life—except your mother, of course.”

Roland’s face became serious. “To a young man, the thought of a lovely nude nymph may be very tempting,” he went on. “All the physical features of a woman, and none of the mental ones. But, son, this is a childish dream, like finding a candy tree. The real thing will not be all you hope for. One quickly becomes tired of unlimited candy, and so it also is with a mindless female body. A man can’t love a nymph. His eagerness quickly becomes boredom, and then disgust.”

If God meant it to be like that He would’ve created mindless eves to be all all Adams playthings which ironically sin has done-

Rather He created Adams and eves equally in His image

Each with a particular defined role

Yet equal and one:

Genesis 1:27

So God created mankind in his own image,

    in the image of God he created them;

male and female he created them.

That is why God says love her as you love yourself:

25 Husbands, love your wives,† just as Christ loved† the church and gave himself† for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing† her with the washing of water by the word. 27 He did this to present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless.† 28 In the same way, husbands are to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hates his own flesh but provides and cares for it, just as Christ does for the church, 30 since we are members of his body.† 31 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,† and the two will become one flesh.†† 32 This mystery† is profound, but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 To sum up, each one of you is to love his wife as himself, and the wife is to respect her husband.

Like a modern day version of This 80’s hero:

Ephesians 5:

22 Wives,† submit†† to your husbands† as to the Lord, 23 because the husband is the head of the wife† as Christ is the head† of the church. He is the Savior of the body.† 24

that way you see her not as a slave plaything indentured servant but like yourself royalty her queenship to your kingship:

Matthew Henry:

Eve was not taken out of Adam’s head to top him, neither out of his feet to be trampled on by him, but out of his side to be equal with him, under his arm to be protected by him, and near his heart to be loved by him.”

Like CS Lewis in his chronicles of narnia books:

“You come of the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve,” said Aslan. “And that is both honor enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth.”

We are given freedom and liberty but within the parameters God has given us-His Law:

Rom 2:15 KJV – 15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

Hebrews 10:

16  “This is the covenant that I will make with them

after those days, declares the Lord:

I will put my laws on their hearts,

and write them on their minds,”

17 then he adds,

“I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”

In our case to prevent us from harming others, ourselves

Access to the ever present danger of sin in our lives and the lives of others

It’s dangers

It’s repercussions

In others lives as well as our own

Now and future

In a way I am reminded of this 80’s movie that applied to us gives us a similar idea:

End of this cycle

Three Things to Remember about Your (Imperfect) Marriage
